CMMR 2025 - 17th International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research

CMMR 2025 provides a platform for multidisciplinary research at the intersection of sound, music, and computing, and we invite contributions from all related areas.

Under this year’s theme, “Sound, Music: Space, Place” we particularly encourage submissions that delve into the spatial and situated dimensions of sonic practice. This includes intersections with cultural practices, considering both human activities (like music-making and listening, and our understanding of sound) and the sonic behaviours of other species (including their vocalizations and responses to acoustic environments), as well as spatial practices (such as architecture and site-specific work).

The programme will feature papers, demonstrations, performances and installations, as well as workshops and tutorials.

CMMR 2025 offers an open, inclusive space for the exchange of ideas across sound, music, and computing. We invite participation from academics, practitioners, industry professionals, and others with relevant interests.
